Student Health Economics
Why did I choose Health Economics?
After making the decision to pursue further study in the field of health economics, it was important for me to select a programme and institution that would provide me with a rigorous and complete training. I was drawn to the Health Economics specialisation at Erasmus School of Economics due to the team of world-class academics involved in the programme as well as the university’s reputation as one of the top economic schools in Europe.
I am happy to say that the reputation is not underserved; the coursework - although challenging at times – focuses both on theory and practical applications, and the flexible nature of the programme allows you to select the subjects that match your interests.
Extremely experienced and knowledgeable academics
For me, the most rewarding aspect of the degree was the final thesis. I was able to apply what I had learned during the coursework while performing my own research under the guidance of some extremely experienced and knowledgeable academics. In addition to the academic benefits, I found a warm and welcoming student community in Rotterdam. The programme allowed me to connect with both Dutch and international students alike. This degree was instrumental in providing me with the skills and experience to begin a career in the field of health economics. I would encourage all prospective students interested in this field to seriously consider this specialisation at Erasmus School of Economics.
