Project Manager Sustainability Dialogues
Emma works as Project Manager for the Sustainability Dialogues. The Sustainability Dialogues are a series of events in which students and staff in all positions can exchange ideas, experiences and expertise concerning sustainability at EUR. Every school organizes a Sustainability Dialogue to discuss the potential of their specific disciplines to contribute to a sustainable future, leading to action proposals in research, teaching and operations. DIT supports this bottom-up initiative by coordinating the efforts of our motivated colleagues across the different schools. DIT also supports the organization of three cross-school Sustainability Dialogues to discuss EUR wide policies. Finally DIT facilitates that the results across all dialogues are summarized and communicated: what do the participants of the dialogues say about how to turn EUR in a sustainable organization? Words should lead to action: a renewed action agenda and sustainable policies that align with the climate emergency declaration.
Emma is educated as Strategic Design Engineer and started her career working as strategy consultant with a focus on innovation and new ways of working. The slogan of her former employer was ‘no more big reports’ but rather using design principles such as visualization and experimentation. She hopes to bring some of this design-thinking and collaborative mindset to the Sustainability Dialogues. Mostly Emma hopes the Sustainability Dialogues will empower a large audience at EUR to engage with sustainability topics and that the event series will have a long lasting impact in our organization.
For relaxation Emma likes to be active and outside. You might spot her running or biking around Rotterdam area.
