Biography
After working as a Maritime Lawyer in private practice and as a judge since 2009 I have embarked on the journey to obtain a PhD. I still work part-time as maritime lawyer and deputy court of appeal judge. As a lawyer I deal with cases concerning (limitation of) liability regarding maritime casualties such as collision, salvage, wreck removal and marine pollution and insurance issues. I have i.a. acted for Owners in the EVERGIVEN and BALTIC ACE matter. My research is part of the Sectorplan and focusses on the public and private role of Classification Societies. |
