Biography
Pieter van den Berg is an associate professor of transportation and logistics at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. His research focuses on the application of Operations Research to the logistics of emergency service providers and public transportation. His work has been published in leading journals in the field of Operations Research such as Transportation Science, European Journal of Operations Research and Interfaces, as well as medically oriented journals such as Injury Prevention and BMC Emergency Medicine. He obtained his MSc in Econometrics and Operations Research from VU University Amsterdam and his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Delft University of Technology.
