(Luis) LD Artavia-Mora

Biography

I am a four-year PhD Candidate at Erasmus University of Rotterdam specializing in Behavioral and Development Economics/Studies. My research interests, passion and academic outputs test behavioral and experimental methodologies to improve development goals in modern societies (low and high-income countries). I have worked on small-scale experiments on social norms, and a large-scale intervention in Burkina Faso that sent mobile messages to patients with HIV to improve their bio-physical markers and mental health. This project involved the publication of: (i) protocol, (ii) systematic review, (iii) adaptation of subjective and objective determinants to treatment, and upcoming research. In addition, I lead a two-weeks follow-up fieldwork visit for data collection surveillance in Burkina Faso in October 2017.
