Last year, Erasmus University Rotterdam presented a new strategy. The topic of sustainability plays a predominant role in this strategy. Jan-Cees Jol, Sustainability Coordinator - Operations of Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam and his team, have worked hard to achieve this. As a result, the EUR staff member has been nominated for ABN AMRO Duurzame 50.

ABN AMRO Duurzame 50 is the annual thermometer of sustainability in the construction and real estate sector in the Netherlands. The list reflects what has happened in the area of sustainability in the construction and real estate sector this past year. Each year the professional jury, headed by the winner of last year, determines the most important issues and trends and who are contributing most to this.

As part of the new sustainability strategy of Erasmus University Rotterdam, Jan-Cees Jol has created a Road map Sustainable Campus, together with among others Boris Pulskens. In the Road map Sustainable Campus, an ambitious aim has been formulated: Achieving a positive ecological footprint of Erasmus University Rotterdam by 2030, and achieving a CO2-neutral campus by 2024.

This year, the public can vote as well for ABN AMRO Duurzame 50. Click here to vote.
