Six Erasmus University Rotterdam master programmes were rated as a ‘Top Programme’ by the Keuzegids (an independent Dutch study choice guide). The programmes were named in the Keuzegids Masters 2019.
The Keuzegids assessment identified six master degrees as top programmes: Aansprakelijkheid en verzekering (Liability and Insurance), Arbeidsrecht (Labour Law), Philosophy, Global Business & Sustainability, International Management and Philosophy & Economics. EUR had five top programmes listed in the 2018 edition. Two newcomers receiving the Top Programme rating this year are Global Business & Sustainability and Innovation Management.
At the same time, Global Business & Sustainability is also one of the programmes to advance significantly in the guide’s rankings. Other programmes that made gains compared to their position in the Keuzegids 2018 include Organisational Change & Consulting, Health Economics, Policy & Law, Pedagogy & Education.
Academic training
A look at the comments for the individual programmes showed praise for aspects such as an effective practice-oriented approach (offered in the Toga Master, for example), solid scientific training (Labour Law and Liability & Insurance) and the challenge presented by a programme (Economics).
According to the Keuzegids, there was a strong focus at the school of Medicine on learning to read publications critically, reporting on research, and learning about research methods.
