In August 2020 Rotterdam is host city of the European Economic Association Congress. This international association honoured the bid which was made by Erasmus School of Economics in close cooperation with Rotterdam Partners, the official Convention Bureau of the city. This esteemed congress follows on the 2019 European Winter Meeting of the Econometric Society, which will also be held at Erasmus School of Economics.
The European Economic Association is an international scientific body, with membership open to all persons involved or interested in economics. The aims of the European Economic Association are amongst others to contribute to the development and application of economics as a science in Europe and to improve communication and exchange between teachers, researchers and students in economics in the different European countries.
