Rosalba Icaza to give lecture at Gender and Diversity in Academia Summer School

Rosalba Icaza will give a lecture on Learning as a liberation / liberation as learning on the opening day of the Gender and Diversity in Academia Summer School at Groningen University on 3-7 July 2017

The five day summer school will engage with issues of representation and inclusion in academic settings and aims to enquire about the responsibilities of academic thought towards societal issues.

  • Diversity and inclusion are key terms in many universities’ strategic plans. But are they being realised?
  • Are we narrowing the gender gap and advancing diversity in practice in academic settings?
  • Is the university engaging sufficiently with diversity and gender questions?
  • And what are we working towards: what does an inclusive academic community look like?

For whom?

The summer school is for graduate students, Postgraduate students (PhD students, Post Docs), researchers and other external stakeholders with a demonstrated interest in gender and diversity issues.
