We are very pleased to inform you that all initial programmes of Erasmus School of Economics have been reaccredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).
In December 2016 the NVAO site visit took place as part of the reaccreditation of all of our initial programmes. The audit panel judged the performance of Erasmus School of Economics’ bachelor and master programmes on four standards, being the intended learning outcomes, the teaching-learning environment, assessment, and achieved learning outcomes. Last spring we received the audit panel’s reports with their assessment, feedback and recommendations on these four standards. We then sent the final reports to NVAO, together with our application for reaccreditation.
Last month, the NVAO has agreed with the findings and recommendations in the advisory reports of the assessment panel, accordingly all our programmes received reaccreditation. They judged our bachelor and master programmes in Economics as well as in Economics of Taxation, our master programme Accounting, Auditing & Control and the Educational Minor to be satisfactory. Moreover, they judged our bachelor and master programmes in Econometrics to be good! We will use the feedback and recommendations to further improve our programmes.
Recently, we also received NVAO’s positive decision to reaccreditate our post initial master programme Executive Master of Finance and Control.
Furthermore, Erasmus University is now preparing the upcoming Institutional audit. Every six years the NVAO determines whether the institution’s quality assurance system safeguards the realisation of its vision of good education. The NVAO’s first site visit was on 30 November and 1 December, the second site visit will take place mid-January 2018. All the faculties, including Erasmus School of Economics, take part in these site visits.
