Prof. Arcuri joins round table discussion on Investment Agreement

Prof. Alessandra Arcuri was invited by the general committee for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Dutch House of Representatives, to join the round table discussions in the Dutch House of Representatives on the new Dutch Model Investment Agreement, held on the 28th of January 2019.

Together with other experts from business, civil society and academia, Prof. Alessandra Arcuri presented her position paper and engaged in a discussion with Dutch parliamentarians. In this context, Prof. Arcuri recommended specific reforms to the Model Agreement for achieving a more inclusive and sustainable investment policy.

Prof. Alessandra Arcuri obtained her PhD in 2005 at Erasmus School of Law on Governing the risks of ultra-hazardous activities: challenges for contemporary legal systems. Since 1999 she has been working at Erasmus School of Law, first as an assistant professor and later as an associate professor. She also worked for a long time at the Rotterdam Institute of Law and Economics (RILE). Prof. Arcuri is an academic member of the Erasmus Initiative Inclusive Prosperity.
