After successful editions in Utrecht and Amsterdam, the 6th edition of the Creative Industries Research Seminar that seeks to bring together researchers working around the CI in the Netherlands, will take place where it started, in Rotterdam, 25th of January 2019.
This time, Hogeschool Rotterdam (Kenniscentrum Creating010) and Erasmus University (Erasmus School for History, Culture and Communication - ESHCC) join forces.
We hope to see you again, and invite you to send your proposals for presentations of research, both finalised and in progress.
We propose a thematic angle: creative entrepreneurship, with its myriad of meanings. That is, we invite contributions about entrepreneurship in the Creative Industries, such as creative business formation and development, entrepreneurial leadership in arts organisations, innovation, creative labour and career development, co-working, the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems in the CI, creative entrepreneurship and education, media and entrepreneurship, etc. Additionally, we open up the program to contributions about creative entrepreneurship in business environments other than the Creative Industries, if clear implications for entrepreneurship in the CI can be drawn.
Deadline
If you would like to present your research, send an abstract of +/- 500 words, that includes the research topic, methods and (preliminary) results, to the organisers (creativeindustries@eshcc.eur.nl), by January 7th.
Feel free to forward this invitation to colleagues in the Netherlands, or scholars who study the CI in the Dutch context.
The seminar will take place in Rotterdam on Friday 25th January in the afternoon. Location and precise schedule will be communicated later, as will the program.
We hope to see many of you!
