The pop-up Swap Shop is now open

The International Office of Erasmus University Rotterdam is happy to announce that the Pop-Up Swap Shop has officially opened for incoming students to pick up anything they might need for their student accommodation! Following weeks of generous donations from staff and departing students, we welcomed our first visitors last week on August 7.

Located in the Hatta building, the Swap Shop provides a unique opportunity for new students to "shop" for essentials, all free of charge. From small electronics and home decor to clothing and books, the shop offers a wide range of items that can be used in any household.

The Swap Shop will remain open until September 3, allowing plenty of time for new students to drop by and pick up anything they may need. Don’t forget! We always need new items to fill up the Swap Shop and will continue to accept donations throughout this month. Thank you to Erasmus Sport for providing the space and to all the students who contributed their items to make this initiative a success.

“I am very proud and grateful that we managed to make the Pop-Up Swap Shop happen. It’s amazing to see how many departing students have contributed to helping new students feel at home. This initiative truly embodies the spirit of community and sustainable internationalisation at our university" - Martine Wierenga, Director of the International Office.
