Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, organisations, and others around the world with the opportunity to recognise the many skills and talents of neurodivergent individuals, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.

There are activities around the world celebrating this week for neurodivergent people and allies, focused on coming together and sharing (personal) stories.

You can find more information on Neurodiversity Celebration Week, for schools, universities, students, parents, and organisations, on this website: https://www.neurodiversityweek.com/.

Share Your Knowledge Week: Insight in autism

During Share Your Knowledge Week 2025 (a week where EUR colleagues share knowledge through workshops) our colleague Nicky van Oosten is hosting a session on April 2, World Autism Day. The session is called Insight in autism - a personal story full of practical tips. Nicky: "As an autism expert by experience, I will give a workshop in which I share my personal story. I talk openly about my experiences with autism in relation to work and study: the challenges I have encountered, the solutions that have worked for me, and the successes I have achieved. My aim is to create more understanding and awareness, but also to give practical tips that can be applied immediately."
