It is with great sadness that Erasmus School of Economics announces the sudden passing of Hoang Thi Thuy Duong, third year student in the International Bachelor Economics and Business Economics programme. Hoang Thi Thuy Duong passed away on 5 November. She was 20 years old.
Duong was a lovely person and an amazing student, always making sure to be open and inclusive during our discussions. It was a pleasure to meet and teach her, and she will be dearly missed by our entire community.
We are grateful for the moments we shared with Hoang Thi Thuy Duong and at the same time very sad that these moments had to come to an unfortunate end. Our thoughts are with her family, close relatives and friends. We wish them all the strength to bear this sudden loss.

Condolence register
There will be a memorial space to remember Hoang Thi Thuy Duong in the E-building (EB-08). Students, teachers and staff are invited to pay their respects. There will be a condolence register available for anyone who wants to leave a message. The memorial space is available from Monday, 18 November, 16:00 until Wednesday, 20 November 16:00.
