On Friday 22 September, ISS senior lecturer Jeff Handmaker will sign the Charter establishing the Law and Development Research Network on behalf of ISS.
The Network will be launched on the closing day of the Human Rights and Development conference and roundtables to be held at the University of Antwerp on 19 - 22 September.
From ISS, Jeff Handmaker and Karin Arts will be taking part in the conference, which will focus will on perspectives from the Global South on the field of Law and Development. It is a first attempt to establish a North-South dialogue around three topics: sustainable development, the protection of vulnerable groups, and the need to use innovation and technology transfer for the benefit of vulnerable groups.
