On Monday 13 January 2025, the International Office hosted a Scholarship Ceremony to honor all international students who have been awarded scholarships for the academic year of 2024-2025.
The ceremony was opened by our Rector Magnificus Prof.dr.ir. Jantine Schuit, who expressed pride in the university’s diverse and talented student community. She highlighted the significance of Erasmus University Rotterdam’s international classroom: “your perspectives and insights contribute to the international classroom we value so much. This environment prepares our students to become socially engaged, connecting, open-minded and enterprising world citizens”.
During the ceremony, each student was presented with a scholarship certificate from the central International Office in recognition of their outstanding achievements. Then Cora Martin, a master’s student at Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication, told the audience more about her personal journey from the United States to the Netherlands after receiving the Fulbright scholarship. She shared her experiences at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and her aspirations for the future. In the spring she will start with research at a Dutch foundation that uses satellite imagery data to prosecute environmental crimes around the world. Talking about creating positive societal impact!
Erasmus University Rotterdam is proud to have these talented students and congratulates them on their achievements. We look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the future!
