On Thursday, the 13th of April, IDEA Center organized a community event for all students, staff and PhD students. The goal was to host an evening of networking and cultural exchange.
The Erasmus Music Association showcased their talent by performing some popular songs. The Italian Student Association prepared a game for visitors to learn more about Italian History, Culture and Practices. Members of IDEA Center’s Student Council for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (SCEDI) were there as well to interact with different students and student associations.
Student assistants from the European University of Post-Industrial Cities (UNIC), an alliance of ten universities based in post-industrial cities with the mission to boost mobility and inclusion, gave a short talk about UNIC and explained the opportunities this programme offers to students.
Parallel to the enriching session, there was a social part of the evening where everyone could exchange ideas about the city, the university and academic and professional opportunities. According to one of the students present: “events like these are a nice way to get in touch with students outside of your study programme and are a good way to learn more about the university and the people who are part of it”.
