History and Communication & Media Studies in top 100

Two of ESHCC's research areas are listed in the top 100 of the QS Ranking: History and Communication & Media Studies.

In ten areas of research, Erasmus University Rotterdam is in the top 100 worldwide. This is evident from the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2015. In five areas, the Rotterdam-based university is in the top 50.

Erasmus University is listed in 13 of the 36 Subjects of QS. The ten research areas with Erasmus University in the top 100 are History, Biological Sciences, Medicine, Psychology, Accounting & Finance, Business & Management Studies, Communication and Media Studies, Development Studies, Economics & Econometrics and Statistics and Operational Research.

In five of these ten the Rotterdam-based institution is even in the top 50: Business & Management Studies (17) Medicine (33) Economics & Econometrics (40) Accounting & Finance (41) and Psychology (48). In Medicine, Accounting & Finance and Business & Management Studies, Erasmus University is best ranked amongst Dutch universities. Philosophy, Law and Sociology are the three other areas in which the university is listed.

Compared to last year, Erasmus University has improved in three Subjects, declined in four and kept the same position in two. Business & Management Studies and Development Studies are new Subjects within the QS ranking.

About the rankings
The QS World University Rankings by Subject is based on reputation and citations. For the fifth edition of this ranking a total of 3,551 universities and 14,000 courses were investigated.
