Make sure that you are present at the second Committee Interest Drink on 16 January!
It feels like this year has only just started, but it’s already time for the last newsletter of 2017. November was filled with great activities, such as the Multicultural Trip to the Hague, the Beer Cantus, the First Years Pub Crawl and last but not least, the Econometric Career Days (ECD)!
FAECTOR’s biggest career event, the Econometric Career Days, took place from 15 till 23 November. With several cases, presentations and workshops, students had the chance to orientate themselves on what they want to do after they have finished their studies. A big thanks to the ECD Committee, who committed themselves thoroughly to making this “lustrum” edition a big success!
Are you interested in joining a committee at FAECTOR? Be sure to mark 16 January in your agenda, because the second Committee Interest Drink will take place on that date! The board and some ex-committee members will be there to tell you all about the committees that open up in January. These are the committees that you can apply for:
- The ECD Committee
- The Estimator Committee
- The Event Committee
- FAECTOR Research Project (FRP) Committee
- IT Committee
Are you a bachelor student (second year or higher) or pre-master student and do you want to broaden your knowledge besides your studies? Then the Excellence Programme might be something for you! We are pleased to announce that the theme of this year’s Excellence Programme will be Econometrics & Artificial Intelligence! Besides increasing your academic knowledge, you get the opportunity to develop your soft skills with workshops about presenting and debating. You will also meet several companies during the programme, such as Google. Finally, if you finish this programme successfully, you will receive 3 extracurricular ECTS and a certificate signed by the Dean of Erasmus School of Economics. Mark 14 January in your calendar, because that is the application deadline for this programme!
We wish you all the best with the last exams of 2017! Be sure to study hard; you’ll have two weeks to relax during the Christmas break. Keep an eye on our website and social media, as you don’t want to miss out on all the great activities that are planned in the weeks after the Christmas break.
