Erasmus University Rotterdam has risen slightly in the 2019 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, from 72 to 70.
Every year, Times Higher Education publishes a leading ranking of universities, based on five pillars: education, research, citations, valorisation and international orientation. In total, THE has surveyed 1258 institutions around the world.
In the 2019 ranking that has been published today, Erasmus University is now placed at 70, compared to 72 in last year’s edition. This makes it the fifth university in the Netherlands (previous edition: sixth). EUR is doing particularly well in the area of citations (which includes citation impact). The university is ranked 36th place worldwide. EUR also performs strong on research (eg papers and research reputation, (rank: 82).
