From 8 to 19 November 2021, the Student Wellbeing Festival will take place at Erasmus University Rotterdam, this time live on campus. The weeks have a varied program, focusing on different types of wellbeing.
Varied program
The Student Wellbeing Festival, intended to focus on the wellbeing and personal development of students, is taking place for the third time. Attention is paid to different types of wellbeing, including mental, physical and social. The program includes keynotes and Q&As with top model Loiza Lamers and with Thijs Launspach, author of the book Fokking druk (busy). There are also kickboxing and yoga classes, a silent disco, and an escape room. Furthermore, students can visit the 'Pop-Up Living Room and Information center' at Erasmus Plaza every day, where they can get more information, relax, and meet each other.
Boost for students
‘The corona crisis has also hit the students of the EUR hard,’ says Robin Eijlers, project lead of the Student Wellbeing Program. ‘With these weeks, we want to give them a boost and show them that the university is there for them – also in matters that are not directly related to their studies, but that do affect them.’
Organization
The Student Wellbeing Festival is organised by the EUR Student Wellbeing Team in cooperation with Erasmus Sport, Erasmus X, Stay Rotterdam, and many more. The opening of the Student Wellbeing Festival takes place on Monday 8 November at 12.15 PM by Rector Magnicifus Annelien Bredenoord.
