Erasmus University Rotterdam is ranked 87th in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), also known as the Shanghai Ranking, published yesterday.
Top 100 universities worldwide
This list, which provides a top 100 of universities worldwide, is presented annually. Last year, Erasmus University Rotterdam dropped out of the top 100; in previous years, our university was ranked 80 (2020), 68 (2019) and 79 (2018). Harvard University will receive the highest ranking in 2022, followed by Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Two other Dutch universities have been given a place in the list. They are Utrecht University (54) and the University of Groningen (66).
