CSC fellowship grant for film tourism research project

Min Xu, from the Arts & Culture department, has received a CSC fellowship for her research project Film Tourism in China. 

The promotor for this project is prof.dr. Stijn Reijnders. The fellowship is financed by the China Scholarship Council.

Short summary of the project
In this PhD research project the development and mechanism of China's film tourism by delving into the phenomenon of people traveling to places because of their fondness for a movie or TV series will be analyzed. Setting the geographical scope in Mainland China, the project discusses the motivations, practices and attitudes of both domestic and international tourists, together with local communities, organizations and travel agencies.
