As of 31 December 2024, the Impact at the Core project will officially conclude. Since its inception, Impact at the Core has been a cornerstone of impact-driven education at Erasmus University Rotterdam, working together with countless educators, students, and societal stakeholders to embed societal impact into our learning journeys. However, this is not the end of our shared mission to drive meaningful change through education.
Starting 1 January 2025, the community and its initiatives will continue under the umbrella of the Community for Learning & Innovation (CLI). As part of its ongoing mission to foster innovation and collaboration in education, CLI has developed extensive experience in cultivating an active community of passionate educators at Erasmus University. Through sharing innovative practices and facilitating spaces for dialogue and collaboration, CLI has created a vibrant network that not only supports teaching and learning but also encourages continuous professional development. By integrating with the CLI, we ensure the sustainability and further growth of our community while continuing to foster impactful education within our institution.
The Microsoft Teams environment that has supported our collaboration and knowledge sharing will remain active. It will continue to serve as a platform for our community to connect, collaborate, and innovate. We encourage all members to stay engaged and actively contribute to this vibrant network as we enter this new chapter.
We are immensely proud of the strides Impact at the Core has made in advancing education for societal impact and grateful for the unwavering dedication of everyone involved. Together, we have laid a strong foundation that will now flourish within the CLI.
What’s next?
Our mission remains unchanged: to empower education with purpose. As we transition to the CLI, we look forward to continuing to develop tools, methods, and support for impact-driven education. Moreover, we are committed to highlighting the work of inspiring educators, where lessons learned, challenges faced, and concrete examples of how impact-driven education can manifest in different contexts are shared and celebrated.
