None other than the Georgian-German writer of the beloved 'The eighth life (for Brilka)' Nino Haratischwili is coming to Rotterdam on 13 March. She will speak with Berrie Vugts in the Hillegondakerk about her latest novel 'The lack of light'.
In this latest book, Haratischwili (Tbilisi, 1983) tells the story of the Georgia of her childhood. After four girls strike up a friendship in the late 1980s, they have to make their way in a country marked by crime and war after its recent independence.
