Guido Imbens is currently Professor of Applied Econometrics at Stanford University. He is part of the most leading econometricians in the world. After studying at Erasmus School of Economics he continued his career in the United States. He is best known for his methods that can measure the effect of policy on the economy in an unbiased manner.
Policy makers and researchers use these methods to predict whether it helps to retrain unnecessary workers for other work. In the most recent years Imbens focuses more on artificial intelligence and machine learning. He collaborates with researchers from Facebook and Amazon.
