Dr Gianoli is an economist and management specialist focusing on urban environment, urban climate change mitigation and adaptation, urban resilience and urban infrastructure. He has worked for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Commission, United Nations and several governments worldwide. His areas of expertise include governance, finance, and data science.
Dr Qian Ke
Dr Qian Ke is an Urban Sustainability and Climate Change Resilience specialist at IHS. Her research interest is mainly in flood risk management, numerical modelling and nature-based solutions to address water issues in the context of climate change. She is involved in teaching and other research and advisory projects as well.
Dr Alexander Los
Dr Alexander Los is a physicist and expert in Urban Environment and Climate Change. He focuses his research on urban environment modelling using satellite-based observations, Citizen Sensing and climate change data. In this specialization, he teaches air quality, climate change, and renewable energy-related subjects.
Elena Marie Enseñado
Elena Marie Enseñado is an urban environment, sustainability, and climate Change specialist currently working on obtaining her Doctoral degree. Some of her research interests include environment and climate change governance and learning processes for sustainability transition. Prior to joining IHS Elena worked in biodiversity conservation and environmental management in the Philippines.
Laura Quadros Aniche
Laura Quadros Aniche is an Urban Sustainability and Climate Change specialist working in education, advisory, and urban sustainability and governance research. Her expertise focuses on nature-based solutions, ecosystem services, climate adaptation and resilience, urban living labs, participatory processes and legitimacy.
Somesh Sharma
Somesh Sharma is the Urban Management & Development Theories course coordinator. He is an expert on Remote Sensing & Geographical Information Systems & has developed several GIS applications for conducting assessments within his focus areas (sustainable urban transport & climate change adaptation & mitigation).
Together with its partners IHS works at the forefront of urban development.
