Geobase is a multidisciplinary database supplying bibliographic information and abstracts for the geosciences and all kind of related disciplines, including international development, resource management, transport, and urban planning.
On Wednesday 28 April, 10:00-11:30, the University Library will host a training session for the Ovid database Geobase. In this session for PhD candidates and other early researchers at Erasmus University, the Ovid Training Department will:
- provide recommendations for undertaking advanced searches on the Geobase database;
- show how to prepare your searches for controlled vocabulary terms and author keywords;
- review the Ovid functionality for creating projects, saving searches and creating auto alerts, as well as how to obtain full text citations.
Understanding the functionality of Geobase may also help with using other Ovid databases such as Medline or PsycInfo.
