Battles in the muddy trenches, countless deaths, widespread disinformation and still no NATO membership. The war in Ukraine has been going on for over three years, and under pressure from U.S. President Trump, a peace agreement seems to be imminent. Is that really going to happen and what would it mean? Will the United States withdraw as the backbone of European security after a ceasefire is signed? And why would Putin, unlike after the Minsk accords, keep the deal now?
