On Monday, May 8 (during IDEA International Knowledge Week), the play ‘Conventions & Interventions #SocialSafety’ will be presented on campus. The different scenes will foster a dialogue with the audience on social safety, written and unwritten conventions, and possible ways to intervene.
Our rector magnificus, Annelien Bredenoord, will open the afternoon. Het Acteursgenootschap will perform a number of scenes related to social safety. The scenes include themes like discriminatory comments, unwanted behavior by a supervisor and experiences of soft landing of new students at universities. Following the scenes, moderator Dr. Vidhi Chaudhri engages the audience in a conversation about social safety, conventions and interventions.
