NOTE: There are only 100 spots available for this seminar series. This course is specifically aimed for Master students. If you are enrolled in MSc Finance and Investments @RSM, this course may not be for you, as it will be discussed in Prof Schoenmaker's course in the programme.

The "Sustainable Finance Seminars" is a transdisciplinary course designed to explore the crucial role of the financial system in the transition to a sustainable economy. 

It addresses the integration of financial, social, and environmental dimensions in corporate finance, aiming to provide participants with practical tools for sustainable investment decision-making and long-term company valuation. Students will gain insights into the sustainability challenges facing companies today, learn about the latest approaches in impact investing, and discover how finance can contribute to a more sustainable global economy. The lectures are by Dr. Dirk Schoenmaker and there will also be a guest lecture by Dr. Derk Loorbach.

All seminars will be hosted at Q-lounge in the Q-building.

Organization 

This initiative is led by Prof. dr. Schoenmaker with support of the Design Impact Transition (DIT) platform at Erasmus University. In the third lecture prof. dr. Loorbach will visit to discuss the relationship between a transition of the financial system and broader societal transitions.  

Certification 

Master students from Erasmus University and other Dutch universities are eligible to attend. This is a 0 ECTS course. A certificate of attendance from RSM and DIT will be awarded to those who attend at least 4 out of the 5 seminars.
