Dissertation in short:
Alcohol moderation and smoking cessation can lead to health benefits for all, yet for cancer survivors these behaviour changes can additionally contribute to more beneficial treatment
outcomes and wellbeing [1, 2]. However, targeted support in changing alcohol and tobacco use among cancer survivors is often lacking [3, 4]. Digital interventions might be able to fill this gap. This thesis describes the development and evaluation of two digital alcohol moderation and smoking cessation interventions for cancer survivors, and elucidates the role that digital interventions might play in supporting cancer survivors in their alcohol moderation and smoking cessation efforts.
