The film gives insight into the life of 9 different women from 9 different countries who try to overcome cultural barriers for women and education. They face arranged marriages, child slavery, and other heartbreaking injustices. Despite these obstacles, the girls offer hope and inspiration. By getting an education, they're able to break barriers and create change.
After the screening, we’ll have an interactive discussion about the issues of the film and Gender Equality (SDG 5) with chief editor of Erasmus Magazine, Wieneke Gunneweg (moderator) and Mansi Jasuja (specialist in capacity building and promoter of gender empowerment). Feel free to speak your mind.
