IDEA Center (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access Center) of Erasmus University Rotterdam presents the book Van woorden naar daden - een gids voor een inclusieve organisatie (From Words to Deeds - A Guide to an Inclusive Organization). In the book, IDEA Center team members share their knowledge and experiences of an integrated approach that can help transform an organization into a more inclusive, diverse, equitable, accessible, and ultimately a more enjoyable organization for all.
With the book, the authors aim to inspire employers, employees and organizations in an accessible way. The book offers practical tools for designing, implementing and evaluating new or existing interventions and policies.
The book is in Dutch, we are working on an English version. The event for the book launch will be in Dutch. We can offer live English translation. Please let us know through the webform if you would like to have this English translation option.
Presenting the first copy on October 6
The book will be presented during a festive meeting in Theater Zuidplein. The first copy will be handed to Rabin S. Baldewsingh, National Coordinator against Discrimination and Racism.
Programme
09:30 – Walk-in.
10:00 – Programme: opening by prof. dr. Annelien Bredenoord, rector magnificus EUR, an interview with prof. dr. Semiha Denktaş, Chief Diversity Officer EUR, and Rabin S. Baldewsingh, National Coordinator against Discrimination and Racism, by moderator Mary Tupan-Wenno, executive director ECHO Expertisecentrum Diversiteitsbeleid, presenting the first copy and music by Imane Wijsman.
11:00 – Closing with drinks & bites.
