Knowledge of human anatomy lies at the base of the biomedical sciences and the arts. During ART ANATOMY, scientists respond to the works of Atelier van Lieshout. Get a tour and explore the grounds of AVL Mundo with art and medicine students, determine the scenario of an interactive movie and stay for an amazing afterparty.
The evening's host is spoken word artist Elten Kiene. We kick off the night with an opening drink at 07.30 p.m.
View a video report of the workshops '(Un)real' and 'Toekomstbaby’s' with youngster from Rotterdam, presented by project leader Fred Balvert.
Then the exhibition outside will be officially opened by Joep van Lieshout and Gert-Jan Kleinrensink, Professor in Anatomy at the Erasmus MC.
Guides of the Science Gallery Rotterdam and AVL Mundo are happy to show you around.
During the Night of Science ('Nacht van de Wetenschap'), you as a visitor get to choose what the future will look like. In the interactive movie 'Robin', you will follow the main character Robin from cradle to grave. You will get to choose what happens at key moments in his life - the movie will then take a different turn. How much privacy do you allow Robin to have? Will you interfere when Robin choses a partner? Afterwards, Tim de Mey, philosopher of science at Erasmus University Rotterdam, will discuss the choices made by the audience.
Dance the night away at the inspiring cultural hotbed AVL Mundo.
