Two-day Training 8 & 9 October, 2024

In the preparation for the MindTech Summit, junior researchers take part in a two-day training session focused on AI, innovation, and entrepreneurship. 

Location for the training: Erasmus University Rotterdam. 
Fee: The training and Summit are sponsored by our partners.

Training program (subject to change)

Day 1: AI and digital behavioral health

Workshop Prof. Susan Murphy and Dr. Stefan Konigorski 

  • Introduction to reinforcement learning machine learning models to personalize digital health behavior interventions.
  • Introduction to advanced research methods and designs in digital behavioral health (i.e., micro-randomized trials, SMART designs)

Workshop Kartik Thakore, Orfeo Health

  • Large Language Models/Natural Language Processing for dummies.

Day 2: Implementation of digital behavioral health

Workshop Evan Hirsch

  • Bridging science and design for mental health.
  • Tech Transfer, adoption and segmentation
  • Market research and business models.

Workshop Dr. Amanda Withrow (VP Clinical Solutions Architecture, Emtelligent) 

  • Architecting data for digital behavioral health
  • Hackathon on data
  • Ethical ramifications

Before registering, ensure that you have approval to attend all four days of this event. Participating in only the training or the summit separately is not possible; you are expected to engage in the full program of both the training and the summit.

By actively participating in the training and taking part in the MindTech Summit, you will receive a certificate of attendance which can be presented to your graduate school for recognition of educational hours/credits. The recognition of credits depends on the policies of your graduate school.
