I have enjoyed learning from the professors, reading all the articles, and understanding digitisation and its impacts. And not to mention: I have gained some lovely new friends!

Alumna Digitalisation in Work and Society

I like to continuously improve and implement solutions that help us work more efficiently. While working as a Continuous Improvement Specialist, I developed my interest in digitisation: what can we achieve, and how do we make the most of it? I decided that I wanted to learn more about this to better understand it. The Master Digitalisation in Work and Society seemed to perfectly fit. After following this Master, I can confirm that this was a perfect fit for me. Why? We dived deeper into digitisation and how we can implement technological solutions best within (public or private) organisations. Besides that, we've learned how digitisation changes the way we work and live and how we can get a better understanding of this. This actively helped me develop sustainable work solutions, for example, within work engagement and performance of platform workers.

Interestingly, due to covid-19, we experienced the impact of digitisation ourselves while studying from home. When friends and family ask me about my year, I always tell them how this allowed me to successfully combine a 20-hour job with this Master, and how much I enjoyed this Master. This Master Program is quite demanding, but I continued to be motivated because the subject matters we were studying just really were of value to me. I have enjoyed learning from the professors, reading all the articles, and understanding digitisation and its impacts. And not to mention: I have gained some lovely new friends!

For now and in the future, I like to continuously improve and implement solutions that allow me to work more efficiently as a Continuous Improvement Specialist at the platform I work at. I can now do this even better because I know how to use digitisation to positively impact both the organisation and the individual.

I would recommend this Master's programme to anyone interested in applying innovation and digitisation in the future. Or to anyone who would like to (learn to) understand the current and future world we live and work in better. I promise that you won't regret it!
