I personally experienced all of the professors very passionate about the topics they teach and eager to make learning about course contents as interactive as possible. Some professors even go above and beyond organizing extracurricular activities.

Alumna Clinical Psychology
During my time studying Clinical Psychology at the Erasmus University, I got to experience a number of the advantages the program offers. What stood out to me the most is the international community within the program and on campus as well as the close supervision and support by professors and tutors.
In my experience, the practical training track of the Clinical Psychology program offers an ideal preparation for students aspiring to become practitioners or work in the field of mental health, while also providing an understanding of relevant psychological research. During practicals in small group settings, various therapeutic techniques from different specializations such as couples therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy are taught. Oftentimes practical tutors are trained therapists themselves and can provide valuable insights based on their own experiences with clients.
Furthermore, I personally experienced all of the professors as passionate about the topics they teach and eager to make learning about course contents as interactive as possible. Some professors even go above and beyond organizing extracurricular activities.
By having the choice to do a practical and/or research internship during the second semester the program not only allows for gaining experience in the practice of being a mental health practitioner but also of being a researcher. During the process of writing the master thesis close supervision by the faculty’s professors is provided. In my experience the research internship is a great opportunity to participate and be involved in research projects firsthand, oftentimes students are given important responsibilities and are very much involved in the projects if interested.
I particularly enjoyed the international community both within the program and on campus. The campus setup with all faculties in the same place and shared study spaces allows for studying and enjoying breaks alongside students from all programs. Throughout my studies, I really enjoyed spending time on campus, in the well-equipped study areas and green spaces. The campus offers a wide range of food places and with the student sports center being on campus it is particularly easy to work out in between or after a day of studying!
