I started at Erasmus University with a pre-Master in public administration. During this year, one of the courses was focused on governance networks. I felt this subject had a different view on public administration and therefore it immediately had my interest. This made me decide to apply to the Master’s programme Management of Governance Networks (MGN). What I like most about MGN is that it stimulates you to think differently when it comes to governance problems. Because of a globalised and more interdependent world we have more and more complex societal issues. The Master’s programme MGN looks at the overall context of these problems. I feel it is very valuable to know how to manage these issues and how to connect with various actors. All the different perceptions need to be known in order to be able to find a solution for a problem. This Master’s programme has certainly broadened my knowledge of public administration. I feel this year has prepared me for a successful professional career. I would advise everybody who wants to learn and implement a new and present-day vision on public administration to choose this programme. It has helped me to grow as a student and a person.
