Alumnus Governance of Migration and Diversity (Sociology)
After I followed a bachelor in public administration I was really interested in finding a master programme in the field of migration. Since most migration programmes require a degree in law, it was quite difficult to find a suitable program. What appealed me about the GMD program was that it approached the issue of Migration and Diversity from different perspectives.
This master has broadened my horizons in migration and allowed me to dive deeper into the societal issues that arise from diversity and multicultural societies. The fact that students from different cultural and academic backgrounds gather together to discuss and exchange opinions made this master programme very unique.
Currently, I am working as an immigration coordinator in Amsterdam, an immigration consultancy company for highly skilled migrants. In the future I would like to be involved with a societal approach of immigration. My GMD degree worked as an asset in being hired, but mostly it has inspired me in developing my professional goals!
