Scientists from psychology, sociology and public administration have a tradition of studying societal transitions and behavioral change. They investigate current issues such as how a network society can contribute to solving complex problems. Or how can human behavior be changed to promote a healthy and sustainable life.
Round 2 | 15.15 - 16.15 | Freek de Haan, Holly Harris, Paul Kocken and Lizet Kuitert | EN
Scientists from ESSB will present examples of research into societal transitions and behavioral change from different perspectives, such as equity in health, societal trust in government, and collaboration for sustainable environment. They will challenge participants in thinking of ways how to tackle issues at the intersection of the system and individual. How can an integrated approach of system transitions and individual behaviors improve health, wellbeing and sustainability? What is needed in terms of research, collaboration, interventions and scaling them up?
