MJ (Thijs) Lindner, MSc

Biography

Cultural sociologist studying citizens’ meanings attributed to contentious social issues and analyzing their distinct responses. I analyze attitudes on issues related to welfare, redistribution, immigration, and the EU. I am currently involved in a project to investigate citizens’ perceptions of different governmental approaches to justify contentious EU policies (e.g., immigration and climate change).
