Biography
Mahmoud Javadi serves as an AI Governance Researcher at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) in the Netherlands. In this capacity, he plays a role in the REMIT Horizon Europe Project, which is dedicated to revitalizing multilateral governance through technological advancements. Mahmoud also serves as a research assistant to prof. dr. Michal Onderco for the academic year 2023-2024, offering support on a research project revolving around nuclear politics.
Before assuming his present position, he was associated with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where he conducted research on the policies of the European Union in the Middle East and North Africa.
His academic background includes a Master of Arts in transnational governance from the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy (2023), and a Master of Arts in European Studies from the University of Tehran, Iran (2015).
My main research interests include security studies, (military) technology governance, global order, European foreign, defence, and security policies, Transatlantic partnership, and the Middle East.
