Vacancy: student assistant research support

The Erasmus School of Philosophy is looking for a student assistant to assist in the implementation of the Digital Society SSH-Breed theme at ESPhil. The successful applicant will help Dr. Giulia Napolitano and Dr. Nicholas Vrousalis with the organization of workshops and conferences, support the writing and preparation of grant applications, and disseminate research events and output.

The ideal applicant will have:

Necessary qualifications

  • A background in Philosophy;
  • ability to work autonomously and efficiently to meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks;
  • excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken;

Desirable qualifications

  • a graduate degree or a completed first year of a graduate degree in Philosophy;
  • demonstrable experience in and proven ability to liaise with external speakers; 
  • demonstrable experience in and proven ability to support conference and workshop organization. 
  • ability of work on online platforms like PURE.

Terms and conditions

The successful candidate is expected to start on January 15, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. An eight-month contract with Erasmus University will be offered. You will be appointed for 8 hours a week (0.2fte). Your working hours are flexible, and your lectures and tutorials will be taken into account. 

The following remuneration applies:
2nd year student: € 523, 60
3rd year student: € 523,60 
4th year student: € 569,20
