Nicholas Vrousalis wrote a short essay on the present and future of Dutch Higher Education.
"Dutch higher education stands a mere decade behind England, which serves as a mirror of its possible future. As in England, public funding for education in the Netherlands has scarcely kept pace with student numbers, which have increased by 4-6 percent per year since 2015. This is an unstable equilibrium: at some point, either public funding will have to increase, or tuition fees will have to be raised."
