Engagement

We actively engage with government agencies, health and care organizations, academic institutions, and the public to shape healthcare policy and practice. Through advisory roles, consultations, and knowledge-sharing initiatives, we contribute to national and international regulatory discussions.

Our advisory work ranges from ad-hoc consultations—such as advising regulators based on research findings—to formal, long-term positions in key committees. Notable past and present roles include participation in the Health Council of the Netherlands and leadership positions in international committees and workgroups (e.g., The Lancet, WHO, Health Standards Organization, International Forum).

Beyond advisory work, we foster engagement by organizing key events, such as the 2024 Symposium on Disciplinary and Criminal Proceedings in Healthcare (in collaboration with Erasmus School of Law) and the annual Erasmus-SINC Scientific Symposium on governmental regulation of health and social care. These initiatives ensure our expertise reaches a broad audience, driving shared learning and meaningful improvements in regulatory practice.
