You will probably have seen the announcements on LinkedIn or perhaps you've received an invite by email! In collaboration with independent alumni association ESHPMa, ESHPM is organising a conference especially for its alumni. On 27 October, we look forward to welcoming you to the alumni conference 'Zicht op zorg: Wat vindt de patiënt ervan?'
During this conference, the focus will be on the experience and perspective of the patient. As a patient, you obviously know what is valuable to you and how you would like your healthcare to be managed. How do we organise healthcare accordingly? Is deciding together the solution? And how do you organise patient input in healthcare?
The keynote will be given by Dr Michelle van Tongerloo, GP and street doctor in Rotterdam. As a street doctor, Michelle looks after the most vulnerable people - often the homeless, addicts or undocumented. She writes down what she encounters during her consultations on the back of prescription forms, and later develops them into articles. She connects big social issues to the tough reality of her surgery. Michelle will be kicking off the conference with her perspective on the (organisation of) healthcare in the Netherlands and the issues facing patients from her daily practice.
We warmly invite you to return to Erasmus University for an afternoon featuring interesting speakers, mini lectures, workshops and networking drinks.
Please note: the conference will be held in Dutch.
