Roland Boekhoudt appointed as new CEO of de Volksbank

Erasmus School of Economics alumnus, Roland Boekhout, has been appointed as CEO of de Volksbank. As per may 22 Boekhout takes over the position from Martijn Gribnau. He has been appointed till 2028.

Boekhout has over 30 years of experience in the banking sector and previously was CEO of for example ING Germany and ING commercial banking. Prior to this new position he was active as consultant at McKinsey. 

Roland Boekhout: “I am honoured by the confidence the shareholder and the Supervisory Board have placed in me to lead this fine bank. I look forward to setting to work and contributing to a stable and sustainable future of de Volksbank together with all my colleagues, thus making a positive impact for customers, society, employees and the shareholder alike.”

Boekhout studied Business and Managerial Economics at Erasmus School of Economics form 1981 and 1988. With another Alumnus at such a high ranking position it is another testament of the impact that Erasmus School of Economics alumni have.
