Minister Eric Wiebes of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK) discusses economic growth in the GroeiCast, the ministry’s new podcast series.
The podcasts focus on how we can maintain the Netherlands’ prosperity in the future. Guests on the podcasts have backgrounds in politics, business, and education.
According to Wiebes, it is important to further invest in innovation, improve education, aim to make our industries more sustainable and enable people to work more. This way, the Netherlands will remain an attractive place to live and do business.

Minister visits Erasmus School of Economics
On Thursday 13 February 2020, Minister Wiebes will visit our campus to give a reflection on the economy, which will be succeeded by the Statistics Netherlands (CBS) official press conference. CBS will publish the first estimate of GDP and employment for Q4, 2019. They will also present the annual figures for 2019. The event concludes with an interactive panel discussion on the implications of the new figures for economic growth, the labor market, and government policy.
